Access Control Entry (ACE)

An ACE is one of the lines in an ACL. These lines specify the requirements for which type of network traffic the ACL will apply to.

Access Control List (ACL)

An ACL is a filter that you can apply to either packets coming into or leaving a physical interface on a Cisco router.

Anomaly detection refers to an IDS triggering mechanism that uses user profiles as the basis for detecting attacks and policy violations.
