I would like to share a conclusion with you now after six chapters of expanding on my personal experience, observations, thoughts, and the data and cases I have collected.

Industrial Revolutions in history are driven by energy revolutions: the first Industrial Revolution was fueled by the substitution of coal for wood; the second was sparked by the replacement of coal by oil. And the third Industrial Revolution, which is around the corner, will be propelled by solar power, and that is the “ultimate substitution” in energy history.
