Ember.js’s growing popularity

Ember.js is billed as a “framework for creating ambitious web applications.” It intends to be a solid foundation (a framework!) for developers to flesh out a full application on the client-side.

The framework is a descendent of SproutCore, a framework Apple greatly contributed to, and which still powers the iCloud web applications today. Ember.js and SproutCore have gone in different directions, but SproutCore is still around (active mailing list and still active on Github).
