IN CHAPTER 2, we defined desire as “a wish or longing” and noted that a desire for change arises from a disruption. We also noted that a mere wish or longing for change isn’t enough. Making deep changes in yourself requires transforming a wish into a more powerful “want.” To put this another way, you must choose to build in yourself a desire that is strong enough and sustainable enough to fuel real change.
