Under the Hood is about going inside the shapes and objects we’ve looked at, to expand the complexities and possibilities of what these models can become. By opening up the components of a shape, every point, polygon and edge, is at your command. Not only that, but you can build new components from the originals, thus exponentially raising the detail and control at your fingertips. This chapter hits at the core of what modeling in 3D is all about.
