Time for action – creating a vase

In this exercise, we're going to create a vase to sit on our desk using Lathe NURBS. We'll begin in Adobe Illustrator, but you can also create this spline within C4D or another drawing application. If you do create a spline within C4D, for this purpose, it's best to use either a Bezier spline or a B-spline to ensure a smooth curve.

  1. Open a blank document in Adobe Illustrator. The composition size doesn't matter; we'll define the spline's size once we've imported it into C4D.
