Chapter 11. Administering Call Detail Records
Call detail records (CDR) and call management records (CMR) are golden nuggets of data to be mined by both you and applications that manage CDR data. Cisco CallManager provides an application, the CDR Analysis and Reporting tool, that uses CDR data (both CDRs and CMRs) to show the system's health by tracking things such as gateway load, top talkers, call quality across the whole CallManager deployment, and much more. Each CDR comprises a single call leg or voice path. For each record, a range of data points related to the call and to the underlying network is captured and stored within the SQL database running on the Publisher.
The Publisher keeps all the CDR data for the entire cluster in its CDR
