Programmability
Introduction
One of the guiding principles of Intersight, as discussed in Chapter 1, “Intersight Foundations,” is open programmability. Intersight is architected to be:
Fully API driven: Anything that can be configured or queried by a user is driven by the API.
Built upon an open standard: The API schema leverages the OpenAPI specification (Version 3 at the time of this writing).
Throughout this book, you have been introduced to the various capabilities that Intersight offers as a true cloud operations platform. All these capabilities are driven by the Intersight API, which is detailed in this chapter; other chapters discuss the consumption of Intersight resources through the API.
