Chapter Ten. Enhanced IGRP
This chapter describes principles of operation of another class of routing protocols: hybrids. Hybrid routing technique is based on the distance-vector algorithms but also incorporates some features, such as adjacencies between neighboring routers or guaranteed message delivery, usually found in link-state routing protocols. The sole routing protocol in this group is enhanced IGRP (EIGRP), implemented by Cisco Systems and based on theoretical work done by J. J. Garcia Luna Aceves.
