1.2. Enterprise Composite Network Model

The Enterprise Composite Network Model was introduced to provide a more detailed strategy for designing networks. Previous design models did not define how to make specific connections or how the network should expand over time. Networks, therefore, grew with no direction. Network administrators had little control over the way networks reacted to change.

To ensure that this doesn't happen to your network, I'm going to show you some design practices and components that will give you a scalable and highly available network for years to come. We all need job security and these techniques will make you the rock star of your network!
