The UCS Manager (UCSM) provides a single point of management for a UCS.1 An embedded policy-driven software manages all devices in a UCS as a single logical entity.

The architecture of UCSM consists of multiple layers with well-defined boundaries (see Figure 7-1). External interfaces provide communication with the outside world.
