H.323 Protocol Migrations to SIP
Majorities of existing Unified CVP deployments that are candidates for upgrades were deployed using the H.323 call control protocol and not SIP. Migrating from H.323 to SIP in a Unified CVP solution can be a complex undertaking without some careful planning and feature mapping. Quite a few migrations are stalled or delayed simply because the migration engineers do not have any guidance or ideas on how to migrate H.323 deployments to SIP, or they are uncomfortable with the SIP protocol.
