Unity can service a recommended maximum of five Exchange 5.5 servers.
Unity can service a single Exchange 5.5 site only.
All Exchange 5.5 servers in the site being serviced by Unity should reside locally to
the Unity server.
Unity needs access to a local domain controller for authentication. An Exchange 5.5
configuration might reside in Windows NT or Windows 2000.
Unity must be installed into the same domain as Exchange 5.5, or must have access
to the domain given the required permissions and same name space.
Unity does not need Active Directory in this configuration
