Like all other Digital Networking features, license pooling uses the directory for all data
replication. Within the directory there can only be one pool. However, unlike the other
Digital Networking features, the data used to support the license-pooling feature is not
automatically replicated to the directory. Only when a Unity node becomes a member of
the pool does it begin replicating licensing data.
To become a member of the pool, a Unity node must have license pooling enabled in its
