The GrantUnityAccess Tool
The GrantUnityAccess tool can be very helpful in many different scenarios. We now take
a deeper look at what this tool actually does, to help you understand what problems this tool
can solve for you.
All Windows user accounts are identified uniquely by a security identifier, or SID. Unity
looks at this SID when it determines what subscriber your Windows account is associated
with. This mapping of SID to subscriber is kept in the SQL database on the Unity server.
With a simple SQL query, you can see what SIDs are associated with a subscriber.
