Messaging is one of the core components of Cisco Unity. From its beginning, Unity was
built to use other messaging systems because it does not have its own, proprietary message-
storage system. This is an important trait of a true unified messaging system.
Several components make up Unity messaging, and these components allow for the sending
and retrieving of voice mail, e-mail, and fax messages to and from the message store that
