In this chapter we've discussed the three main supported technologies to deploy applications in a VDI environment: the VM-hosted apps architecture using Citrix XenDesktop, the streamed application profiles with Citrix XenApp, and the Microsoft App-V technology for both streamed and nonstreamed software.
