Whether it is Tom Hanks, cast away on an island, or Charlton Heston at the end of Planet of the Apes, there is a futility in being alone. Life unshared has no point.
Like you, JoAnn and I have only 24 hours in a day. We can serve only so many clients face-to-face. To expand our business, to leverage ourselves, we need a team.
The ideal team would be a number of clones. JoAnn could manage the JoAnn clones and I could manage the Joseph clones, and we could serve countless more clients. The trouble with cloning is (1) scientists have yet to clone human beings, and (2) when they do there will be a dumb-down effect, with each clone not quite as good as the original. Ego aside, I don’t believe the world is ready for a series of ever less intelligent Josephs.
