For most of my life, I was stubborn and closed-minded and took refuge in the belief that my point of view was the only one that mattered. Then one night, in struggling with a real estate deal, I had to turn it around and understand that the Smiths needed to hold out for more money and that the Browns, though they loved the house, could not afford it.
