You are important to you. You must take care of yourself. You must eat right, fight bad habits, get some exercise. These things are up to you. If you don’t take care of yourself, who will? Outside of your family and closest friends, you are not someone else’s concern.
Others have their own concerns. They must worry about their blood sugar. They can or cannot quit smoking. They must strive to be good parents. They must be respectful children. They have their own hopes and dreams. They have themselves to take care of, and you are just not on their radar.
There is an old saying: “When I was young, I thought everyone was thinking about me. As I grew older, I thought only a few people were thinking about me. Today, I realize nobody thinks about me at all.”
Take care of yourself. Do a good job on you. Be the best you that you can be. Just don’t think it matters to anyone else.
