Our relationship with the Smiths and the Browns changed that night on many levels. Our decision to take care of our clients demanded a new and singular approach to the truth: that we treat them fairly. What was unexpected was that clients treated us fairly in return.
A part of the Realtor Code of Ethics says we are to treat all parties fairly. So much of what we do is about acting in good faith. We trust that people mean what they say and will do what they promise to do. Telling the truth is the only path to that fairness, and when it begins with you, it comes back to you from your clients.
