Through it all, our gross commissions dropped less than 20 percent, whereas the market lost 70 percent of its dollar volume; ultimately, our income came back to 2006 levels while the overall market bottomed and stagnated. This was Clients First in action.
Every day the phone continued to ring. People continued to come to our open houses. Our client base saved us.
Did we make changes? Of course we did. But did we make basic changes? No. We continued to do business based on putting the client first and letting that be our guiding principle.
