Chapter 2. Understanding Linear Regression

In this chapter, we begin our exploration of machine learning models and techniques. The ultimate objective of machine learning is to generalize the facts from some empirical sample data. This is called generalization, and is essentially the ability to use these inferred facts to accurately perform at an accurate rate on new, unseen data.
