About the Author

Peter S. Weygant is a Learning Products Engineer in the Availability Clusters Solutions laboratory at Hewlett-Packard. Formerly a professor of English, he has been a technical writer and consultant in the computer industry for the last 20 years. He has developed documentation and managed publication projects in the areas of digital imaging, relational database technology, performance tuning, and high availability systems. He has a BA degree in English Literature from Colby College as well as MA and PhD degrees in English from the University of Pennsylvania. He is the co-author (with Robert F.
