The Co-Active Leadership Model
The Co-Active Leadership Model found its roots in the heady years of 2010 and 2011 as a number of exciting movements such as Occupy and Arab Spring were sweeping across the globe. The media were calling these movements “leaderless,” but as Henry, one of the coauthors of this book, observed what was unfolding, he saw circles of people making decisions and moving together in unison. Rather than being leaderless, Henry felt, those movements were “leaderful” . . . filled with leaders all leading in different ways. He became inspired to create a simple model that would help this kind of circular leadership sustain over time.
