The concepts of social enterprise, social innovation and co-production have much in common. They all have clear economic, political and social dimensions and they all refer to highly complex phenomena involving multiple dimensions that require a truly multi-disciplinary approach. Yet, the academic debate normally oversimplifies them, often from the perspective of a single discipline.
