Let's get started with Challenge. All of the techniques used to present the PBC with a meaningful Challenge are challenging themselves—challenging because they ask the coach to be diligent, present in the moment, and willing to challenge the PBC's status quo.

Challenge is about helping the PBC experience an ah-ha moment or a shift in his or her own thinking. It is used when the PBC is stuck and needs a little push or when the PBC requires feedback regarding incongruence or a disconnect between behaviors or comments. The purpose of Challenge is to provide PBCs with insight that will help them move forward or away from an impending disaster.
