5.1. InDiCom Coaching Model Stage I: Involve

The main goal of the Involve stage is to establish why the conversation is occurring. "Why are we having this conversation?" Typically, coaching conversations occur to resolve an issue, discuss a topic, address a performance issue, or gain insight. In determining why, seek to clarify the purpose of the conversation and determine expectations.

Each stage of the InDiCom coaching model has goals that you, the coach, will ensure are met in your coaching conversations before moving to the next stage. The goals that you should have in mind at the Involve stage are:
