What impact is your coaching having?
At the start of this book we identified the relatively limited amount of academic, detailed, empirical research there is in the field of coaching. This should not be much of a surprise as it is a relatively new field within leadership. Although it may seem surprising, it is worth mentioning that the professionalism of management and executive coaching has only reached critical mass in the last 20 years or so. Hence, we are relatively constrained in our ability to analyse and describe the absolute impact that coaching has.
