Even though the popular Internet is still relatively young, dating back to the early 1990s, the way Internet applications are written has changed considerably over the past decade.
During the time we have been writing about the Internet and writing applications for the Internet, we have seen it change from an exotic underground “thing” to being a part of our everyday lives. Internet applications have grown up from being just collections of static pages and now offer dynamic and personalized solutions.
