Abstract

Osteoclasts are bone-resorbing multinucleated cells formed by the fusion of monocyte/macrophage lineage. Recent studies have shown that oxidative stress stimulates osteoclast differentiation. Here, we reveal the effects of kahweol, a coffee-specific diterpene that has been reported to possess antioxidant properties, on osteoclastogenesis.
