DLP Cinema® projection technology was developed by Texas Instruments, incorporating feedback from extensive demonstrations and testing with industry experts that began in 1997. This chapter describes how DLP Cinema® technology works and provides a case study of how the engineers at Texas Instruments adapted and extended their technology to meet the needs of the motion picture industry.
