COLORIST’ TOOL—PRIMARY COLOR CORRECTION

 

The previous two chapters explored the tools you have to analyze your image, and the next two chapters will explore the tools you have to manipulate your image. These tools are broken down by work flow. Colorists generally break their work flow down to Primary corrections and Secondary corrections.

Primary color corrections are the corrections that apply to the entire image. They are overall, general corrections. Secondary color corrections are the corrections that are specifcally applied to only a portion of the image.
