In the Dark—Improperly Exposed Video
One of the most common problems is video that has been improperly exposed. The basic TBC-type controls—hue, saturation, luminance, and black level—give just enough control to make the picture viewable. But with the addition of just a few color correction tools, we can really salvage a pretty decent picture.
I did this correction in Color Finesse. You can do it in any color correction application that you have access to or with which you feel comfortable. Load the still image file called Sue.tiff from the tutorials section of the DVD for this chapter.
