Before you can learn COMTI, you must learn the Microsoft SNA Server. And before that, you must delve into a little history of mainframes: why they are the way they are, and why it is still important to develop software for them in the year 2000 and beyond.


Apologies in advance to seasoned mainframe veterans; this short section will not do justice to the machines that have changed civilization as we know it. However, I do not claim to be an expert in the mainframe field and am only reporting on recent experiences.
