Chapter 28. Process Capability

When the product parameters required to meet key customer needs have been identified, the design team will conduct an initial Process Capability Analysis. A Process Capability Analysis is used to quantitatively determine how well a product or process meets the identified specification limits of the customer. The data used for Process Capability studies must be collected using a measurement system that has been approved on the basis of a measurement system analysis study.
