Motivating Language Exercises

Motivating Language Role-Playing Scenarios

These exercises are designed both for small groups of three and as individual exercises.1 The group exercises are done face-to-face, while the individual exercises may be approached as written exercises or just as thought-provoking exercises that will better prepare you for situations in which you can utilize motivating language to be a more effective leader. You may also use the group scenarios as individual exercises if you are alone, to practice how you would approach the situation as the leader, then consider how the follower might react to your message.
