6.5 RF-Based Topologies
In this chapter, we will analyze three topologies 1) mesh, 2) concentrated
mesh, and 3) hierarchical topology for possible RF-I integration. We also quan-
titatively compare the proposed topologies with flattened butterfly [15]. The
routing complexity in flattened butterfly topology would be exasperated if
RF-interconnect is also used. Thus, we do not address applicability of RF-
interconnect to butterfly topology in this chapter. Figure 6.10 shows the base
case that was evaluated in [9] and used as a point of comparison. Three key
