Theory of magnetoelectric phenomena in composites
Abstract
The chapter discusses the theoretical modeling of magnetoelectric (ME) coupling in composites of magnetostrictive and piezoelectric components. Our analysis is based on the simultaneous solution of elastodynamic or elastostatic and electro/magnetostatic equations. The expressions for ME coefficients as functions of initial component parameters are obtained for low-frequency, electromechanical, magnetic, and magnetoacoustic resonance regions.
