Chapters 3, 4, and 5 spoke of the essential knowledge you need to write a drum track for your music. Generally the drum track is but one element of a piece of music, although you shouldn’t forget that for some styles of music, the drum track is the most important feature. Tribal styles of dance music, influenced strongly by the traditions of African drumming, represent prime examples of this. These styles are modern electronic equivalents of the music of the drum, and within them, the drum remains the supreme element.
