Alot of today’s music is loop based, which means that it relies mainly on the use of repetition. The unit of repetition is called a loop. Whether these loops are drum patterns, bass patterns, riffs, lead material, or pad sounds, the composition of a track will often consist of many of these loops combined together in an interesting and effective way.
