Introduction

The probable reason that you are reading this book is that you write (or are perhaps intending to write) your own music tracks using software, and you want to get some tips and information on the best way to go about this. You might be extremely knowledgeable about the software that you use, have a good understanding of your own genre, and even have a good basic understanding of music theory. Even given such knowledge, however, this does not necessarily mean that you can write effective music tracks. You need another kind of knowledge on top of all that.
