Today’s networks are no longer limited to using cabled, or wired, devices. Today’s networks have a mix of wired systems along with wireless systems that use radio frequencies to send data to a wireless access point (as shown in Figure 10-1). The wireless access point may have a connection to the wired network, allowing the wireless devices to communicate with the entire network.
