Virtual desktop infrastructure

A virtual desktop infrastructure (VDIis a pool of virtual desktop pools for groups of users who share the same needs, such as a sales team whose members need access to the same applications and utilities on their desktops.

When the salespeople access their desktops, their settings are copied elsewhere; if the desktop becomes corrupt, another desktop from the pool is taken and the settings are then placed on the new desktop.
