The Basics of Cabling, Wires, and Communication

When CompTIA revised the Security+ exam to its current version, SY0-301, they removed the objectives related to cabling. Surprisingly, however, the cabling terminology still appears in the acronym list associated with the exam. What does that mean? In short, it means that you should still know the material that appears in this appendix; while the Network+ exam hammers hard on connectivity, you should not attempt Security+ without this basic knowledge.
