Abstract
This chapter shows the study of the time-fractional Sharma–Tasso–Olever (STO) equation with the help of the Caputo–Fabrizio (CF) fractional derivative. In 2015, Caputo and Fabrizio together established an innovative fractional operator based on the exponential kernel. Further, the modified homotopy analysis transform method (MHATM) is utilized to obtain the approximate solution of the STO equation.
