Abstract

Mechatronics, the integration of mechanical, electrical, and computer engineering disciplines, plays a pivotal role in designing and developing advanced systems in various industries. As mechatronic systems grow in complexity, the need for efficient and effective optimization techniques becomes increasingly significant. This research paper provides a comprehensive review of optimization techniques applied in the field of mechatronics. We explore various optimization methodologies, including mathematical programming, evolutionary algorithms, machine learning, and metaheuristic techniques, highlighting their applications in mechatronics design, control, and manufacturing processes. Furthermore, we discuss the challenges and opportunities in employing these techniques and propose future research directions to optimize mechatronic systems.
