Abstract
Modern organizations are using mechatronics technologies to increase industrial output. Industrial operations are more susceptible to power quality issues, requiring novel dependability methods. This presentation discusses employing mechatronics devices to avoid commercial power quality issues. “Power quality” refers to producing electrical dependability and consistency. Harmonic distortions, voltage sags, surges, and interruptions may diminish productivity, prolong downtime, and raise maintenance costs. Traditional power conditioning has efficiency constraints. Mechatronics integrates mechanical engineering, electronics, computer science, and control systems for industrial regulation. Mechatronics devices in the power distribution network may help companies address power quality issues. Active power filters, voltage regulators, and energy storage devices are examples. Advanced control algorithms and real-time monitoring allow active power filters to regulate load voltage and harmonics. Active voltage regulators’ improved control algorithms also keep output voltage constant regardless of input voltage. Energy storage might protect vital equipment from transient voltage changes. Integrating mechatronics devices into industrial power systems may have advantages ...
