Abstract
This chapter investigates the emerging trends and presents compelling case studies in the realm of computational intelligent (CI) techniques applied in mechatronics. Mechatronics, an interdisciplinary arena integrating mechanical engineering, electronics, and computer science, faces complex challenges in system design and control. To address these challenges, CI techniques, like artificial neural networks, evolutionary multi-objective optimization, reinforcement learning, swarm intelligence, explainable artificial intelligence (AI), human–robot interaction (HRI), and biologically inspired robotics, are becoming increasingly predominant.
