Assigning wear constants
When choosing a wear constant, the user has two choices:
1. Apply a wear constant chosen from published results in the academic
literature.
2. Apply a wear constant based on in-house experimental investigations.
Note that a wear constant should very obviously not be  tted using the same
data set to both determine the wear constant and verify the model. A sec-
ond, independent data set should be used when attempting to validate the
wear model (see Section 3.4).
